Will the Battlefield 2 booster pack, Euro Force, ever be released? It was supposed to come out tomorrow, but due to problems introduced in the recent 1.2 patch, EA and Dice are now at work on patch 1.21. Pageflakes – Another startpage??

I thought I was done with these Ajax start pages. I was sure that Netvibes was what I was going to stick with. Well, then someone posted a comment that changed things. Enter Pageflakes. Same ideas as the other ones, little prettier, more features, and the ability to create your own flakes (widgets). Screenshots below:

Gravatars now at jpeek.net

We’ve all seen the use of avatars used in forums all over the place. It’s a neat way to distinguishing yourself from others. Gravatar, which stands for Globally Recognized Avatar, is a free service where you can sign up and upload an avatar image for yourself. This image will show up on any sites that […]

Netvibes – Personal Homepage

Now Microsoft has released Windows Defender, essentially beta 2 of the antispyware software. Windows Defender (Beta 2) is a free program that helps protect your computer against […]

The “killer app” for Firefox, AllPeers, is probably the most hyped and anticipated extension out there. It’s set to be released “soon” and TechCrunch got an exclusive preview of it. Allpeers is a Firefox extension that creates a simple, persistent buddy list in the browser. Initially, interaction with those buddies will be limited to discovering […]

Ready for a StarTrek car?

Designed for “scientists, geologists, archaeologists or adventurers”, Nissan’s 4×4 Terranaut features a “spherical laboratory” that is accessed from a 360 degree swiveling seat. Unfortunately, all these workstations leave room for only one passenger side door.carfuture What’s the chance of seeing the Terranaut on the street? Pretty good if you own a Holodeck. Source: Autoblog
