This was another slice and dice job from a pre-designed file. I quite enjoy these and the outcome was great and the client was very satisfied.

It’s also a lot of fun to work on a website where I truly enjoy the design of it. I love the colour combinations, subtle shading, and layout of this one.

On this website I did not have to do any actual design work and the layout was all prepared for me already. In fact, the job involved the conversion of a php/mysql based website into a WordPress blog. Combining direct calls to a Mysql database with WordPress blog posts was surely interesting and truly revealed the power of WordPress.

Healthygirl.ca was my first large scale project that involved complete setup from beginning to end, along with graphical design, layout, content choices, etc, etc. A lot of revisions on this one but the end result met the client’s wishes.

This was probably one of the most fun themes I’ve created for a client. Based on a pre-created sliced Photoshop file, the end result completely matched the client’s expectations and truly reflects the intended vision.

Based on an existing theme but I tweaked its content and lower panels, created the header based on an idea and existing logo, and did the rest of the WordPress setup.

This was one of my first freelance jobs and has led to a slew of others.

24 – A Great Strategy

Season 7 of the hit show 24 started earlier this year and after only 3 or so weeks we’ve already had 5 episodes and a 2 hour special.

At first I wasn’t sure if I would be as enthralled with the show as in prior years but Fox’s strategy of releasing 4 episodes in a 4 day span truly sucked me back in. I can’t wait now until the next episode. This is probably my biggest problem with TV shows. Sometimes I will literally wait until the season is complete so I can watch all the episodes back to back to back to back to… you get the idea.

24 especially is a show that is meant to be watched in series. Since every episode represents one hour of the show it is a given that every episode ends on a cliffhanger. Not so with other shows where you will typically have one overarching story and sub-plots that start and get resolved every episode. The wait till the next episode of 24 is truly unbearable.
