I came across a new blog today that’s centered around WindowsVista.
The purpose of this blog is to keep an eye on events and developments related to Windows Vista throughout its beta cycle, launch, and beyond.
Guess what! It’s my blog! Why another blog? Well, I found this cool blogging software that makes use of Ajax. Since I didn’t want to change this blog, I set up a new one. Head over to the Vista Watch Blog and check it out!
With six 24″ flat panel displays that feature 1920×1200 resolution (5760×2400 combined) and 1000:1 contrast ratio, the ZenView is truly an elite command center. Each panel includes five digital DVI-D inputs, analog RGB/VGA input, and an S-Video input. The only weak link is its price. For $11,999 you can either buy a single large HDTV display or several powerful computers.monitors
ClaimID is a new online service that lets you claim content online that is rightfully yours. I’ve just been accepted into the private beta and signed up for it. I’ve added whatever I could remember and find online that’s mine. You can check out those links under the “Me Online” link in the header.
Here’s a little more about ClaimID:
claimID will allow users to track, classify, annotate, prioritize and share the information that is about them online. It’s about staking your claim to the things out there about you. It’s about drawing a line in the sand over the things that aren’t about you. It’s about managing the facts and the image you want. Take back some of the control that’s been lost to the search engines. Use the search engines to help you reclaim who you are.
I’m not a huge fan of carrying around heavy devices, such as a laptop. My blackberry (well, my company’s) is small enough but it’s still a pain to use. Apparently Microsoft is coming out with a new 7″ tablet type of device that was discovered just recently. More information is supposed to be made available on March the 2nd. There’s a few images floating around the net, including what looks like a promotional video (see below).
From the looks of it, it’s pretty cool and may combine the features of your laptop with those of an iPod. From the video, it would appear that these devices can play back music, connect to WiFi networks (and possibly Bluetooth devices), and has enough power to handle graphics work and games. Like Tablet PCs, Origami makes use of a pen input device, as well as buttons on either side of the screen. The video also reveals the device will be available in at least two colours (black / lime green), and has a docking station to match.
Ok, this video is pretty funny. Turn your volume down though because it is loud. Oh and please spare me the comments about how you think this is me 15 years ago. I see the joke there, ok? I get it. Save it.
